Our Story
The Ghana Environmental Advocacy Group (GEAG) was founded with a profound sense of urgency to address the growing environmental challenges facing our nation. Our journey began as a grassroots movement of concerned citizens, environmentalists, and professionals who shared a passion for protecting Ghana's natural resources.
Witnessing the devastating effects of illegal mining (galamsey), deforestation, pollution, and climate change on our landscapes and communities, we united to create a platform that amplifies environmental advocacy and action.
From our humble beginnings, GEAG has grown into a recognized force for environmental change — collaborating with communities, policymakers, and international organizations to tackle pressing issues such as the destruction of water bodies, biodiversity loss, and improper waste management.
